Console Classix focuses solely PC games; however, the twist is they offer downloadable games from classic platforms like NES, SNES, Sega, Atari, Colecovision and more. This service is for people that miss games like Super Mario Bros. 3, Sonic the Hedgehog and Donkey Kong.
Although this site isn’t strictly a rental service and operates more like a web service we felt it needed to be included in this review even if its just for the novelty. We found that none of the traditional online video game rental services rent legacy games, but Console Classix specializes in them. Additionally, you don’t have to have the old console to play your favorite classics.
Console Classix’s membership is $5.00 a month or $50.00 a year. If you would like to donate your old legacy games to Console Classix they will trade you for a free membership.
