TheGameJunkie is a basic online video game rental service providing games for Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, PSP and Wii. However, with less than 3000 games, TheGameJunkie falls short compared to our higher ranked services.
TheGameJunkie offers five rental plans including three monthly plans and two pre-pay options. The pre-pay plans include two game unlimited rentals paid in advance at three or six month intervals. Rentals take about two to four business days to arrive; however, TheGameJunkie only has one distribution center located in Florida. This service may be better suited for those on the east coast.
Features include a 10-day free trial, no late fees or due dates, free two-way shipping and game summaries. TheGameJunkie does provide a place for member reviews; however, we found very few reviews accompanying games.
While TheGameJunkie offers a comprehensive selection of games, it seems this game rental service is still in its infancy and is going to have a tough time competing with the top three services.
